Kenosi laid to rest

Botswana’s ambassador to Japan, Pulaentle Kenosi, who died in Tokyo after a short illness, was buried in his home village of Moshupa last month. Kenosi first joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as foreign affairs officer II in May, 1995 and served as desk officer for Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

 

Two years later he was promoted to foreign affairs officer I and served at the Botswana embassy in Japan until 2003 as first secretary and counselor respectively. In 2004, Kenosi served as deputy director in the ministry’s Department of Multilateral Affairs until 2007.

 

The following year he was appointed Minister Counselor at the Botswana High Commission Pretoria, South Africa until December 2009. From January to August the following year, Kenosi served as acting Department of Public Relations, Research and Information director. His final posting was from September 2010 to March 2012 as ambassador in Japan.
