Public Service Day will be celebrated at the Gaborone fairgrounds on June 22 while the United Nations General Assembly designated June 23 on which member states are encouraged to stage special events to highlight the contribution of the public service in the development process.

The celebration, spearheaded by the Directorate of Public Service Management, will be preceded by the public service convention. The celebration, themed “Innovation for citizen engagement and effective governance: creating a better life for all,” will reflect the evolution of service delivery and showcase innovations and progress, among others.
