‘Rome was not bu i lt in one d ay` so goes the say ing. New comers in the music industry, Sebatana Choi r, int roduce themselves in a totally different st yle. Instead of the cutt i ng of CD first, then DV D, they d id lat ter first. It is a low budget mu sic video with a lot of blunders, thus t he Rome was…saying. Thi s mmino wa d i k hwaere genre choi r hai ls from Bok aa vill age in t he Kgatleng district. Reser vation and sustainabi lit y of Tswana culture is thei r order of the day. A s t hey have expressed on their shabby DV D cover sleeve, t he choir is a combination of veteran songsters, songstresses and talent – rich youth, mixing the classic and t he contemporar y tastes of produce leg-twist ing songs of v ictory, pride, roma nce, comfor t and courage. Despite the st umbli ng a nd hiccups in t he v ideo, this is a good attempt of video production. The shoot ing loc ation is a rel axing natural view which is suitable for melodious picnics. The music is fine but the sound is ter r ible. For sure the sou nd engineer together with the light ing technician did a poor job. Bad Jump - cuts are evident, the panning of the camera looks like it was done by an excited first-timer child be hind t he lens and t he zooms are baffling. Otherwise, af ter all t hat is said, Sebata na Choir`s stage presentation and performance are excellent. Watch songs suc h as Mapha kela , L etl amet lo and Mareledi, amongst other nine songs.
