The Blinding Peers
Author : Pako Lebanna
Our leaders have always been concerned about the fact that Batswana are not keen to be amongst the top leading reading nations in the universe.
Gaborone West South MP, Botsalo Ntuane, is one man who has expressed a lot of distress on the matter. It looks like Ntuane can now wear a smile without a doubt, since young as well as elderly citezens are showing much interest lately.
Evidence is The Blinding Peers, which was written by a Motswana young man, adding to many others published before.
The Blinding Peers is an interesting and educative book written by a 23 years old University of Botswana Student who hails from Maitengwe village.
In memory of Namibo Satmos Majoni ( author )`s mother Cassinah Majoni who passed away before this book was published, one can always feel parental guardians in Namibo`s writing as he says his mother was a pivotal power during the process of writing this book.
It is about a school girl – Lorraine, who finds it hard to choose good friends when she graduated from junior to high school.
Lorraine ended up being HIV possitive which later progressed to AIDS.
Regrets could not be of any help as she finally succumbed to death.
This book is excellent to be used as an aide and inspiration to all.
No matter what age, reading this book will be very influential in building and strengthening your understanding of the principles of human nature and how to deal with obstacles of not living together peacefully.
You will also learn about the joys of living and loving each other without prejudice and ignorance. ENDS
