Also known as Gladiadoras in Brazil, Miss Gladiator – avagy a diva – a dinka es a rusnya in Hngary and Oi Monomahes in Greece, Gladiator movie has been under-rated in many countries. Running for 85 minutes, this home entertainment comedy deserves an eight and half over 10 rating at least, instead of 4.1 that it is always given.
Starring the most funniest women comedians, Sally Phillips as Worthaboutapig, Fiona Allen as Smirgut the fierce, Doon Mackichan as Dwyfuc and Pam Ferris as Mrs Goatsplitter, the movie is a rib-cracker indeed.
Every cultural steriotype is depicted in this typical English wordplay. Very funy adventures of three unlikely heroines set out to save the Celtic Britain by thwarting the Roman invasion.
It is hard to believe that comedies like this have been overlooked. Considering the bad tasting motion pictures we have been fed with. This one will fix a smile in your face for a long time.
