Hotel Vendome is a fine work of creative art that gives the reader a vivid picture of a father-daughter relationship that overcomes hailstorms, indicating that, indeed love conquers everything. The author, Danielle Steel, outdid herself by giving us this classic masterpiece about a father who goes out of his way to ensure that his daughter gets the best that life can offer. Hurgues Martin is a famous hotel owner who is dumped by his wife for a notorious rock star. She leaves her three-year old daughter, Heloise, behind with only her father to care for. The bond between father and daughter gradually grows as they learn to depend on one another for comfort, refuge and most of all love. However, this impeccable closeness is challenged when, years later, the father finds love, contentment, and inner serenity in another woman.
