I, The Examiner, as always will never cease to boldly and fearlessly share with you my deep and inner most thoughts on life. Today I have something special for ‘you`.
I want you to pause… take a moment and do some thorough reintrospection of yourself. Dissect and examine who you really are. In the wildest of dreams, is there such a thing as the ‘self`? What really constitutes the ‘self` that you call yourself, can one succinctly define who they really are?
Do you define yourself by the kind of job you do or your occupation? Your looks maybe? Do you define yourself by name, qualifications or accomplishments? The friends you keep? Or the kind of things that you are drawn to or like? Your thinking pattern, your race, your family? The list is endless, who are you really?
The fact of the matter is that the question, though complex can be answered.
You are a special creation born free with your own special identity that can never be similar to that of the next person. Lets take your finger print for example, who else shares your finger print - no one of course and this shows how inimitable you are and your distinct existence on earth. No exact copy of yourself will ever exist.
So far as I know, the only exact copy of yourself exists on the mirror, there can be no other real copy of yourself! Your potent self identity and individual distinctiveness contributes to the ‘self` that the society influences you to become.
Just imagine, why would He give you a black skin colour and kinky hair with that broad, I mean really big nose that you do not like and the other He gives a white skin colour and silky blond hair with a sharp nose, I mean really sharp. I reckon it was all on purpose. How would life be like if we were all the same, boring I think.
Imagine if all our personality traits or dispositions were the same, for example, if we were all choleric (when your personality is dominated by quick but strong and lasting actions), melancholic (when you act in a slow, analytical and deep manner), sanguine (when you notice that you are carefree spirited, you are quick to act but shallow, you act impulsively), or phlegmatic (you act slowly but shallow). Well these were all on purpose. Do not be sorry about the way you are, live your life to your fullest potential!
For this reason, The Examiner notes that the Creator of the universe and indeed humanity as a whole deliberately did such on purpose. Why would he make a single you, of course it was for a special purpose. Therefore, do not let anybody belittle you and tell you that you are nothing or define who you are. Stand up and show who you are. They say, ‘If you do not define yourself, someone else will`.
Maybe to stretch your imagination further, the fact that you are not a spider, or a locust or a hill or something else, already qualifies you to have dominion over all creation of the universe, hence you are a special creation of ‘self`. A ‘self` that is capable of being the best that you can be and achieving anything that you desire under the sun. The only limit to achieving the best of yourself is yourself.
The beautiful thing about yourself is that you have control over the choices you make, and when these choices result, they reflect on the ‘self` that you portray to the society. No one can come and live your life for you, you only live once and it is important to make the best of it! What would you like to be remembered for when you die? Pause and think about it. ENDS
