2017 hopes and dreams

It`s a new year and for many people the start of a new year means making resolutions and setting goals to be achieved during the year.
Kutlwano reporter, Idah Basimane took to the streets of Gaborone to hear Batswana`s hopes and dreams for 2017.

John Masopa: 60 years, says if he were to have a resolution, it would be the expansion of his taxi business.  He however decries the lack of funds which he says would be a hindrance.  He says he hopes that even those in the taxi business could be assisted in a way.  He also advocates the increase of civil servants' salaries since they are his customers.

Galetshoge Bajaki: 48 years, Like John, he wishes to expand his taxi business. He says lack of funds prevents him from pursuing his other dreams. He advise Batswana use their money wisely in the new year and to hold on to their jobs because it is difficult to find employment nowadays.

Mogomotsi Koketso: 25 years.  He wants to fulfill his dreams of being a travel agent. He encourages young people to be determined and maintain a positive attitude in all their endeavors. He also hopes to impact the life of his brother and be a good role model for him.

Mildah Simon: 50 years. Venturing into a poultry project using her own money would give her peace of mind. She advises Batswana to form teams to work together to revive the spirit of self-reliance.

Masego Linos: 23 years. He wants to study hard for the betterment of his future. “I am ambitious about preventing crime, especially the one committed by the youth of this country. I would love to see them desisting from anti-social behavior.”

Tshenolo Baagi: 33 years. “I have plans to start saving money for my project in farming. I have realized that most people shun farming and they want to be in offices, but with farming one needs to plan properly and have in place back up plans.” She intends to stick to her resolutions and make them cause real changes in her life.
