She transcends physical beauty to embody her intelligence, purpose and skill, often acting as an ambassador for social change. She worked hard to keep fit and is genuinely happy and exudes charisma.
When preparing for the pageantry, she ensured God was in the forefront. Besides being a beauty queen, she is a philanthropist, model, marketing specialist, content creator and an inspirational speaker.
Though the competitions are always tough, she has proven her worth and appears to have never at once, underestimated the possibility of any of her challengers getting the crown.
To her, the eight ladies from other countries, who also went through training as her, did not take away her quality.
Though she knew that it could be any one of them, she thanked God that it was her time and that really sharpened every detail of her emotions leading to her victory.
The queen is Sebaga Manyepetsa, a 25-year-old from Mahalapye. She went to compete for the Miss Culture Global crown in Monrovia, Liberia in December 2025.
Her runners-up were 1st princess, from Malawi, Wesha Mwalamoyo and the 2nd princess is Miss Culture Global Liberia, Celia Jones.
She is expected to hand over the crown in December 2026 at the next Miss Culture Global International pageant, which will be held in Tanzania.
Together with other eight pageants from various countries in Africa, they had series of activities, which prepared them for the finale.
Such were regular gym sessions, practicing walks and for the most part, learning everything about Liberia and its people.
Miss Culture Global promotes cultures by encouraging pageants not only to embrace their own but also learn from other people’s cultures.
“So we spent time experiencing the food, traditional dances, learning the language, exploring their governance. Each day was packed with activities to empower us, help us experience new things and build a good relationship among ourselves as contestant,” she explains.
The pageantry is an international platform that celebrates cultural diversity, heritage and talent, bringing women from different nations and cultures together under one global umbrella.
Beyond beauty, the organisation empowers women to become confident leaders, ambassadors of their culture and positive change-makers.
It also creates opportunities for young women to grow, represent their culture and become their best selves on a global stage.
Her passion for pageantry started at primary school and has won Miss Integrity Botswana in 2020, Her Majesty 1st princess same year in Gaborone and Miss Culture Global is her second crown.
She holds honours Degree in Broadcasting Journalism and is currently a Brand and Marketing lead at Botala.
“I have very big dreams and I dedicate my life to achieving them. By the grace of God, I have so many skills to share with the world. Everything I do adds on to a bigger purpose and as I learn and grow I become more and more well-polished,” Manyapetsa believes.
She mentions her mother and father as her role models. “It is easy for me to draw inspiration from them because I know their story very well and I have seen them work really hard to attain everything they have put their minds to. My parents are exceptional.”
The values of her parents are unmatched, she attests, noting she is fortunate to carry pieces of the two most incredible and hardworking people in her life.
Manyepetsa says the other contestants have thickened her belief in determination being one of the major keys to success.
“I now believe, more than ever, that when we give our hearts to something and stay passionate, we will always win even if we think we did not. Seeing how everyone moved with passion taught me to stick to this belief, always,” she says.
The beauty queen notes that when one is really determined, they get to learn, build relationships and make connections and come out victorious even if they do not get the ultimate prize.
Her journey as a youth leader, community developer has always centered on actively making a contribution towards helping her county thrive.
This is depicted in the second pillar of Vision 2036 of Human & Social Development, which seeks to create a prosperous nation where every individual has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.
“I am very patriotic. I have always been sure to use my capabilities and my skills to better lives through the different platforms I work in. With that said, I believe Miss Culture Global has significantly contributed by elevating my platform to a broader audience,” she adds.
She is now able to sell Botswana to the world and most importantly, not only roll out her community project in the country but to the rest of the continent and beyond.
Miss Culture Global came to Botswana through its commitment to celebrating cultural diversity and empowering women.
Botswana’s journey began with Goratamang Monwametsi, who competed in the first edition in December 2021, Johannesburg, South Africa, placing Top 6 among 32 countries.
Then Helen Tumotumo, the current (National Director) joined as the second Miss Culture Global Botswana in 2024, representing Botswana in the second edition held in Johannesburg.
She then won the Community Award Champion for her project, LIGHTS, which empowered both children and young women.
Its activities included visiting schools and providing stationery donations such as pencils, to encourage learning and self-expression.
“Through my involvement and mentorship under the Global Director, Lorraine Kljajic, I now serve as the National Director, leading the Botswana Chapter to continue empowering young women and promoting cultural pride,” Tumotumo says. ENDS
