Without doubt Team Distant have set the pace with their carefully blended fusion of urban house beats and exotic sesubiya gimmicks. Starting from humble beginnings, the four students from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology are undoubtedly on top of their game. Baleseng Batlotleng takes a quick look at some memorable facts about the group.

Names: Aron Motlhabane,  also known as Riise has just completed his Civil Engineering Diploma. The Serowe born lad is looking forth to enroll for his post diploma programme.

Omphile Baoki, also known as O.M.P is a third year Sound Engineering student from Mahalapye.

Kgosithebe Toto, Afrozest is his stage name. the diminutive and outspoken youngster is on his third year of a bachelor`s degree in Graphic Design. Afrozes comes from Mahalapye.

Roy Kasale, Roy-K as he is known to his legion of fans comes from Kasane. The lanky 24 year old is also pursuing a degree in Sound Engineering.

 

FOUR THINGS YOU DIDN`T KNOW ABOUT THEM

(i)             They stay in the same house in Gaborone Block 7. Doing all their laundry together and O.M.P considered the best cook for his exquisite culinary skill on flour especially madombi and diphaphatha.

(ii)           Roy-K is the only member of the group who speaks Sesubiya. The language has inspired the group to come up with hit songs such as Kave Ngoma (meaning hit the drum) and Oni Korota ( you owe me).

(iii)          Their manager Kgolagano Entaile has been in the same class with Aron from their crèche days in Lobatse until High school.

(iv)          Besides their passion for House music they are also in love with heavy rock music.
