Phew! While many are still grappling with the post-holiday syndrome, Valentine`s Day is just around the corner. Even though it is a day to share special moments with loved ones many are still in the debt rack.

Kutlwano compiled some tips on how to celebrate Valentine`s Day without dropping big Pulas on fancy dinners and lavish presents but still managing to show your loved one that you really care! In the end, it is not about spending, rather putting a little creativity, time and energy into your plans to come up with great ideas for your partner and do not be scared to do something out of the ordinary.

TAKE A DAY OFF TOGETHER- Sometimes a break from your routine is the very thing you need. Why not play games and enjoy each other`s company. Lie in bed all morning and veg out all afternoon, then relax all night and have a bath for two.

TURN YOUR HOME INTO A SOMETHING TO REMEMBER – If you plan on avoiding the crowds this Valentine`s Day, there`s no reason not to grab some candles and decorate to the max.  Get up early and get creative.  Blankets, comfortable cushions, heart decorations, candles, and low lighting are a great way to kick off your Valentine`s Day decoration.   Do not forget about the romantic music, you can look for songs that have meaning to both of you.  Other great items are massage oils, massaging tools, towels, sweet smells and anything else your creative mind can come up with.
Love Letters- Take a break on the electronic messages and put pen to paper and write a deep love letter or a note describing one thing you adore about your loved one or a special moment you have shared! And by writing, use an actual pen and paper! Keeping it old school is way sweeter!

COOKING TOGETHER- One of the best ways to bond with your significant other is to cook together. Choose a recipe you both want to make or challenge yourself and try something new, followed with dessert. Definitely, you will get a romantic night together, plus a cheaper meal!

CHOCOLATES - A MUST HAVE FOR EVERY VALENTINE`s DAY - Instead of buying sweeties, make homemade chocolate truffles in 25 minutes or easy chocolate bark with supermarket ingredients.

SPA DAY - There is nothing like a day of relaxation and pampering for you and your loved one after a hard day at work. Instead of going to a spa you can go for a cheaper and a more intimate option - buy sensual oils, pop in some soothing music and add candles to up the romantic factor!

LET THE CREATIVE JUICES FLOW- If you are good on the guitar or you are extra crafty, use those skills to your advantage. You might think it is little cheesy but it is super thoughtful and sweet!

VALENTINE`s DAY PARTY- If you and your loved one have been together for a very long time, maybe you want to spice it up with some of your close group of couple friends you can either throw a mini party or each couple bring a dish to share. Exposure to other happy couples can also be a bonus in improving your own relationship.

MOVIE NIGHT- If you are a couple that does not like going out, and just wants some quiet, quality time at home together, then stock your night full of romantic classics and your favourite bottle of wine! If you can remember the movie you saw on your first date you can laugh together as you watch it!
Night of Dancing- Because Valentine`s Day is on a Friday, the decision is yours! Stay in or hit a club and making a mix of your own favourite dance songs and spending the night dancing is a great way to get close to one another! Ends
