They say self- accusation does not amount to self-condemnation. However, just over a month ago self–confessed Maun beast worshiper, Letsoseng Kedumetse declared that he was a king of groups of youth who worship the beast in Maun.

The 19-year teenager even invited Kutlwano reporters to the caves where they held prayers and promised to perform miracles but all in vain. Little did the teenager know that all that was actually the works of his spirit shaking vigorously from the dark shade of an unholy alliance.

When we visited him at his home in April, Zakes as he is known in Maun, was still a hardened and incorrigible devil worshiper who claimed to possess immense evil powers. He claimed to possess powers that can cause accidents by just staring at passing vehicles. He said he could predict the future.

After prolonged visits to his house and conversations that helped him abandon self-crafted philosophies that fuelled his alliance with the devil, the teenager started feeling remorseful about this unholy alliance. It was then that Kutlwano took him to Maun traditional leader Kgosi Kealetile Moremi, and District commissioner Bernadette Malala to begin a healing process for the teenager.

Just recently, in a conversation with Kutlwano, Zakes denounced the devil and declared repentance and embrace for God. “I am a changed man, I was lost and I have now rediscovered God,” says Zakes.

Zakes reveals that he now attends a certain church in Francistown where he is being taught Christian doctrines. “Next week I will be travelling to Zimbabwe for a crusade and I will never go back to the cave,” he adds.

The teenager who had asked Kutlwano to help him remove the devil`s code tattoos on his body also indicates that he has even ditched his followers. “They will see what to do, I have now found God and I don`t want anything to do with the devil,” claims Zakes.

He also claims that breaking away from the devil was no cup of tea. “I fought very hard with the beast because it wouldn`t let me go. The devil threatened me with scary things at night, but I fought and I won,” he declares.

But once again when asked if Satanism is real? This is what he says. “This thing is real you just have to practise it to acknowledge that it`s real. It is something that we should not take light. I have been there and I know what I am talking about,” reckons Zakes. ENDS
