At the height of her illustrious music career, the late South African pop diva Brenda Fassie dropped a song called Higher and Higher. The simple message on Brenda`s song was that nothing was going to hold her back from getting right at the top. Perhaps the song is a defining factor for Odirile Sento`s rising star. Simply put the Hukuntsi born star affectionately known in music circles as Vee Mampeezy is a class act and is surely going up higher and higher with each day passing.
He surprised many when he made a dramatic entrance into the spiritual world.

Despite his young age the taku taku hit maker has already experienced the music industry`s sunshine and shadows.
His lowest moment in music life was to follow in 2011 when two albums he released Shapa Lo and Loketo hit a snag.
His accomplishment as a hit maker became questionable and he disappeared into thin air. Vee never let this traumatic experiences get in his way of yearning for a blissful life.
He soon made peace with his odious past and turned to God in an effort to regenerate his reign as the self-acclaimed king of House-Kwasa music.
The pintsized star added yet another milestone to his impressive music career by becoming the first Motswana to pen a mouthwatering deal with Universal Music.
A lucrative deal that will see him join the music distributing and record stable that has signed amongst others American Hip Hop singer Sean Carter also known as Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Taylor Swift, Enrique Iglesias amongst others, “I signed a big one this time, thanks to Universal Music my album…I DO will be available in Musica for the first time,” Vee made this declaration to his overly excited fans on social media recently.
“I think the new lease in my music life is part of my journey to rebuild my name and image.
The song I do….. is more of a love story dedicated to my lovely wife…waitse bra yame my wife is a gift….i think hoo tota ke gone ha ke iteileng jackpot…” Vee spoke of her wife Kagiso Sento as a walking goddess, his source of inspiration and the reason why he has to double his efforts in whatever he does.
Now people have been seeing his latest offering in prime television and radio channels across the globe such as MTV Base, Trace Africa, Metro FM and Y-fm amongst others.
Vee is open about his life. The tone in his hearty laughter signifies an easy going person in his character.
A breezy young man, when he gets angry it`s only that anger is natural. However he keeps his family, wife and kids away from the showbiz limelight.
“I keep things very private mare im an open person about life. Batsadi ba me ga ba rate limelight and I try my level best to keep them out of my music persona.
As for my kids let me just wait for them to make their own personal decisions about life when they are old enough to do so,” he explains.
Vee admits that his music journey was not an easy one. Although he had a happy childhood under the watchful eye of his grandmother and both parents he lived by the sweat of his brow to stardom.
“Seriously I didn`t see this celebrity thing coming…to be honest ke tsenetse mo music industry to find a platform to talk and influence positively…I wanted to encourage good morals and show that you can be a celebrity and influence a meaningful life…if where I am now people think ke kgonne then I wanna make others believe le bone ba ka kgona..”
His childhood dream was to become a successful marketing executive and maybe own a massive marketing agency.
It was always his dream. Even his family knew he had that business ambition, “ ke kile ka rekisa di sweets ke santse ke le daa ko sgela.
Even our stable Black Money Makers was registered way back ke sena go kwala my form 5 at St Joseph`s College” he said.
Vee did not follow the academic path as he believes ‘hassle e mefuta mebedi…its either you go through the classroom or o tsena mo strateng”. He followed the latter to a sweet end.
From the humble beginnings of Pompa tswidi-tswidi fame to I do marking his thirteenth album.
A plethora of musical awards under his belt with the biggest achievement in this journey being the 2013 Botswana Music Awards where he scooped song of the year, best house-kwasa, best male and president`s awards.
He has also seen his talent take him to the United Kingdom where he performed at Leeds, London and Birmingham.
He has also travelled to Canada and Dallas, Texas. Vee has had some collaboration with big names in the industry in the mold of Oliver Mtukudzi, Casper Nyovest, the late Mandoza, Dj Cleo amongst others and some of his best all time singles include taku taku, zaza, eita and no suffer.
