	Sprinting has transformed Letsile Tebogo’s life, providing him with opportunities and luxuries beyond imagination. The talented athlete made history by winning Botswana and Africa’s first gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the 200m event, a feat that has brought pride and celebration to his nation.
	In addition to his Olympic success, Tebogo and his 4x400m relay team secured a silver medal at the same Games, showcasing his versatility and teamwork on the international stage. His impressive accolades do not end there; at the 2023 World Championships, Tebogo captured a silver medal in the 100m and followed it up with a bronze in the 200m just five days later.
	Tebogo’s journey in athletics has been marked by remarkable achievements. He won the 100 metres and placed second in the 200 metres at both the 2021 and 2022 World Athletics Under-20 Championships. Notably, in 2021, he made history as the first athlete from Botswana to claim the 100m title at any World Championships level. Additionally, he became the youngest winner of the 200m title in African championship history in 2022.
	In a testament to his incredible speed, Tebogo broke the 300m world best record, clocking an impressive 30.69 seconds on February 17, 2024, at altitude in Pretoria, South Africa. Since April 2022, he has held the world U20 record in the 100m, making him the first man from Botswana to break the coveted 10-second barrier.
